Who we are
Since being incorporated in 2019, CrowdHouse Energy is paving the way in designing innovative solutions for renewable energy generation for use in the commercial and public sectors.
Founded by family members with a strong track record working in solar PV design and installation, CrowdHouse Energy is driven to power positive change in the northeast and be a part of the mission to make the UK a world leader in renewable energy technology. Drawing from our extensive experience, we are leading the way in developing new solutions that integrate these technologies into urban and rural spaces that can produce megawatt-scale onsite renewable energy generation, slash carbon emissions, and monetise existing assets.
Before the company was founded, our senior management team had already built a trusted reputation, collectively holding over 35 years of experience in the renewables industry. This combined with over 14 years’ experience in the delivery of strategic projects, with values in excess of £100m gives you the confidence that your project is in safe hands. This solid foundation has since been built upon a diverse team of Project Managers, Installers, and Engineers, enabling us to take on projects of varying scale and complexity.
Here at CrowdHouse Energy, we want to make it easy for businesses to transition towards a more sustainable future. Offering a turnkey solution, we are there at every step of the journey from an initial project brief, design phase, project delivery, operation, and maintenance support (O&M). Our expertise in renewable energy solutions, project management, and sustainable development means we can provide you with a tailored solution to meet legal obligations and individual requirements.

Detailed Business Case
We develop detailed business cases that confirm the financial and environmental benefits our bifacial PV parking canopies and rooftop installations can offer. Our comprehensive analysis includes project cost, payback period, returns on investment, annual energy savings and CO² emission reduction, to support a strong business case for adoption.
Net Zero Compliance
We work closely with Ofgem, and the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, to stay up to date with the latest environmental standards, to ensure we meet UK sustainability targets. For more information, go to our sustainability section.
Our experienced design team offers consultations to draft site plans tailored to your requirements. We consider factors such as site constraints, energy demands, and structural requirements to deliver efficient, long-lasting, and powerful solutions.
Turnkey Project Delivery
We handle every aspect of project delivery, from design and procurement to installation and commissioning. Our turnkey approach ensures a streamlined process that minimizes disruption ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
Designed and Assembled in the UK
We take pride in designing and assembling our bifacial solar PV canopies within the UK. This allows us to maintain quality control, support local industries, and ensure compliance with UK regulations and standards.
Modular Construction and Design
Our modular construction and design approach enables flexibility and scalability for bifacial solar PV canopy installation. This method allows for faster installation, reduces civil requirements, and facilitates future expansion or reconfiguration.
Fully Trained SHEQ Audit Team
Safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) are an essential part of CrowdHouse Energy’s operational governance. Our fully trained audit team ensures that all projects meet rigorous safety standards and comply with environmental regulations throughout the construction process.
Pre-Qualified and Secured Supply Chains
Our supply chain has been developed over the years through a robust sourcing regime we preselect only tier-one manufacturers who specialise in bifacial heterojunction PV cell technology. Leading the way in efficiency and energy output.
Turnkey solutions helping you power a NetZero future
Clean Energy to Support a Net Zero Future
Our bifacial solar PV solutions generate clean energy to support a net zero future. We help our customers reduce their carbon footprint and contribute to a greener and more sustainable world.
Fully Supported O&M
We provide comprehensive operation and maintenance (O&M) services to ensure you receive the best performance from our bifacial solar PV solutions. Our dedicated team conduct annual cleaning, replace system Invertors, monitor efficiency, and identify any anomalies which differ from our simulated outputs.
On-Site Renewable Power Where It Is Needed
We help our clients generate renewable energy on-site, reducing reliance on traditional grid infrastructure. By generating power where it is needed, we minimize transmission losses, enhance energy efficiency, and promote energy independence.
We provide EV charging solutions to help our clients capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles. Our charging infrastructure supports both public and private applications, enabling convenient and sustainable transportation options.
Through private wire options, we enable our clients to directly source clean energy for their facilities. This cost-effective solution enhances energy resilience, reduces dependency on the grid, and allows for better control over energy costs.
Flexible Energy Storage
We offer flexible energy storage solutions to store excess energy generated by renewable sources. This stored energy can be utilised as and when required, through time of use shifting, providing greater resilience and flexibility.
Grid Balancing Services
Our expertise in renewable energy systems enables us to provide grid-balancing services. By dynamically adjusting energy generation and consumption, we contribute to grid stability and support the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources.
We assist our clients in monetising their carbon reduction efforts through carbon trading. By helping them navigate the complex carbon markets, through our network of partners we enable them to generate additional revenue while actively contributing to the fight against climate change.
At CrowdHouse Energy, we acknowledge that our business activities will generate waste material. Given sustainability is a key tenant of the company, we recognise the responsibility to curtail waste generation, safeguarding and enriching the environment. This ethos extends to our contractors as well, expecting them to uphold the same standards.
Our environmental policy centres around four key objectives:
Legislative Adherence: All company activity complies with current UK legislation and government regulations.
Responsible Waste Disposal: We dispose of any waste generated by our activities using only registered carriers, and to recycle wherever possible
Innovation for Sustainability: Our commitment to environmental preservation drives us to develop products, processes, and equipment that will power a net zero future.
Resource Conservation: We focus our efforts into resource and energy conservation, minimising emissions and enhancing recycling rates.

At CrowdHouse Energy, we are committed to promoting sustainability and ethical practices across all aspects of our operations. As part of this commitment, we ensure the procurement of all our solar panels, and their components, are from reputable suppliers who adhere to laws on protecting those against exploitation and upholding human rights.
With the increasing shift towards solar PV in recent years, this has driven an increase in sourcing critical minerals for its production. The solar panels we use are produced with abundant and available materials that are not sourced from conflict zones.
By choosing solar panels that are produced under responsible manufacturing conditions, we actively contribute to the global effort to combat forced labour and human trafficking. We believe that renewable energy solutions should not come at the expense of human rights, and our sourcing practices reflect this belief.
