CrowdHouse Energy
About us
Who we are
Since being incorporated in 2019, CrowdHouse Energy is paving the way in designing innovative solutions for renewable energy generation for use in the commercial and public sectors.
Founded by family members with a strong track record working in solar PV design and installation, CrowdHouse Energy is driven to power positive change in the northeast and be a part of the mission to make the UK a world leader in renewable energy technology. Drawing from our extensive experience, we are leading the way in developing new solutions that integrate these technologies into urban and rural spaces that can produce megawatt-scale onsite renewable energy generation, slash carbon emissions, and monetise existing assets.
Before the company was founded, our senior management team had already built a trusted reputation, collectively holding over 35 years of experience in the renewables industry. This combined with over 14 years’ experience in the delivery of strategic projects, with values in excess of £100m gives you the confidence that your project is in safe hands. This solid foundation has since been built upon a diverse team of Project Managers, Installers, and Engineers, enabling us to take on projects of varying scale and complexity.

On-Site Renewable Power Where It Is Needed
We help our clients generate renewable energy on-site, reducing reliance on traditional grid infrastructure. By generating power where it is needed, we minimize transmission losses, enhance energy efficiency, and promote energy independence.
Monetise
EV Charging
We provide EV charging solutions to help our clients capitalize on the growing demand for electric vehicles. Our charging infrastructure supports both public and private applications, enabling convenient and sustainable transportation options.
Private Wire
Through private wire options, we enable our clients to directly source clean energy for their facilities. This cost-effective solution enhances energy resilience, reduces dependency on the grid, and allows for better control over energy costs.
Flexible Energy Storage
We offer flexible energy storage solutions to store excess energy generated by renewable sources. This stored energy can be utilised as and when required, through time of use shifting, providing greater resilience and flexibility.
Grid Balancing Services
Our expertise in renewable energy systems enables us to provide grid-balancing services. By dynamically adjusting energy generation and consumption, we contribute to grid stability and support the integration of intermittent renewable energy sources.
Carbon Trading
We assist our clients in monetising their carbon reduction efforts through carbon trading. By helping them navigate the complex carbon markets, through our network of partners we enable them to generate additional revenue while actively contributing to the fight against climate change.
Environmental Responsibility/Policy
At CrowdHouse Energy, we acknowledge that our business activities will generate waste material. Given sustainability is a key tenant of the company, we recognise the responsibility to curtail waste generation, safeguarding and enriching the environment. This ethos extends to our contractors as well, expecting them to uphold the same standards.
Our environmental policy centres around four key objectives:
Legislative Adherence: All company activity complies with current UK legislation and government regulations.
Responsible Waste Disposal: We dispose of any waste generated by our activities using only registered carriers, and to recycle wherever possible
Innovation for Sustainability: Our commitment to environmental preservation drives us to develop products, processes, and equipment that will power a net zero future.
Resource Conservation: We focus our efforts into resource and energy conservation, minimising emissions and enhancing recycling rates.

Ethical Practises
At CrowdHouse Energy, we are committed to promoting sustainability and ethical practices across all aspects of our operations. As part of this commitment, we ensure the procurement of all our solar panels, and their components, are from reputable suppliers who adhere to laws on protecting those against exploitation and upholding human rights.
With the increasing shift towards solar PV in recent years, this has driven an increase in sourcing critical minerals for its production. The solar panels we use are produced with abundant and available materials that are not sourced from conflict zones.
By choosing solar panels that are produced under responsible manufacturing conditions, we actively contribute to the global effort to combat forced labour and human trafficking. We believe that renewable energy solutions should not come at the expense of human rights, and our sourcing practices reflect this belief.
